April 13, 6:13 p.m. –

Sergeant Stacy Flynn responded to an agency assist call from Washington State Patrol for a warrant arrest on Interstate 90 at milepost 219. Upon arrival Trooper Carmen Herrington had the subject in custody and Sgt. Flynn cleared without incident.

April 13, 9:11 a.m. –

Washtucna complainant on East Lee Road advised they are receiving harassing phone calls from a female subject. Deputy Dan Verhey contacted the female who stated they only contacted the complainant once and the complainant did not want further contact. The subject further stated she did not want contact with the complainant.

April 11, 1:12 p.m. –

Othello complainant advised of a possible suicidal juvenile on North E Street in Lind. Complainant stated the juvenile needed to be transported to the hospital for evaluation. Deputy Ben Buriak advised Sergeant Troy Mock of the assist request and responded as needed.

April 11, 9:16 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a verbal domestic in progress on West Schoessler Road. Deputy Buriak responded to the residence and contacted the complainant who advised no assault took place, and the other subject involved in the argument has left. Dep. Buriak advised the complainant to call the sheriff’s office if needed again.

April 10, 3:25 p.m. – Deputy Buriak responded to an agency assist call on West May Avenue in Washtucna. Dep. Buriak contacted the complainant at the residence and stayed on scene to ensure the peace, while personal property was removed.

April 10, 3:20 p.m. – Deputy Buriak responded to an anonymous report of an animal problem on East Franz Road. Report stated a horse and several dogs lived at the residence and were not cared for properly. Dep. Buriak contacted the dog owners to advise them of the complaint. Dep. Buriak checked on the animals and determined they had adequate food and water and appeared in good health.

April 10, 12:13 p.m. –

Washtucna complainant advised of hay stolen from South Church Street. Deputy Jeffrey Lane contacted the complainant who advised they did not want to pursue the matter.

April 10, 11:53 a.m. – Complainant from Yakima called and advised they had not heard from their son in about four weeks and requested a welfare check the subject who lives on Bronson Street in Hatton. Deputy Craig Frank responded to Hatton to attempt contact. Dep. Frank contacted a neighbor who advised they had seen the subject three days ago.

April 9, 9:17 a.m. – Ritzville complainant called and advised of an assault on North Plager Road on April 8. Sergeant Mock responded and conducted the investigation.

April 4, 11:11 p.m. –

Sergeant Brian Taylor responded to an agency assist call on West Third Avenue and South Washington Street. The Ritzville Police Department requested assistance in locating a burglary suspect on foot in town.

April 4, 2:57 p.m. – A report was generated for sex offender address verification on Seventh Avenue in Ritzville.

April 4, 2:55 p.m. – A report was generated for sex offender address verification on Pine Avenue in Ritzville.

April 4, 2:10 p.m. – A report was generated for sex offender address verification on D Street in Washtucna.

April 4, 12:28 p.m. – Lind complainant requested a citizen assist on North I Street regarding landlord and tenant issues. Deputy Lane contacted the complainant and provided them with landlord/tenant pamphlet.

April 4, 7:11 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of a vehicle prowl on West Clarence Street. Deputy Aaron Madison responded and completed the report.

April 3, 5:06 p.m. – Washtucna complainant called and advised they are worried their former roommate is stealing the complainant’s property, while the roommate is moving out. Deputy Buriak contacted the roommate by phone and was advised they had permission from the complainant and their spouse to be at the residence removing property. Dep. Buriak contacted the complainant again who advised they are just worried about the roommate potentially stealing. Dep. Buriak advised the complainant to make a report if something was actually missing when they return to the residence.

April 3, 2:51 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a male subject arguing with his spouse. Complainant stated the subject has been drinking and is wearing all black clothing with a brown ball cap. Deputy Buriak contacted the parties involved and arrested Matthew James Werner on disorderly conduct.

April 3, 12:17 p.m. – Moses Lake complainant called and requested a citizen assist on West May Avenue in Washtucna. Complainant advised a subject needed to pick up some property. Deputy Buriak attempted to contact the complainant to arrange a time for the stand by. Complainant advised the request was no longer needed.

April 3, 8:23 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of suspicious people taking scrap metal at a location on East Schoessler Road. Deputy Lane contacted the subjects and learned they have permission to be there and have been clearing the area for a few days.

April 2, 3:07 p.m. – Dispatch advised of a male subject in the courthouse with a felony warrant from Franklin County. Sgt. Flynn and Deputy Lane checked the area and did not locate the subject. Sergeant Mock located the subject on the corner of First Avenue and Jefferson Street. Sgt. Mock confirmed the warrant and arrested Ernest Lilburn Morgan, Jr.

April 1, 9:53 p.m. – A complainant from Montana called and advised of a heated argument in progress, while traveling on I-90. Complainant stated they wanted the second subject out of their car. Sergeant Flynn contacted the complainant at Exit 221. Upon arrival Sgt. Flynn learned no assault took place, just an argument. Sgt. Flynn transported the other subject to Ritzville to await another ride.

April 1, 5:52 p.m. – A male subject entered the sheriff’s office and advised he had a warrant and wanted to take care of it. Anthony James Veliz was turned over to the jail staff.

April 1, 2:37 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of three male subjects removing a car and some items off the front porch in the area of North Vulcan Street. The complainant further stated the landowner is gone and they are concerned about the situation. The subjects were gone upon Sergeant Flynn’s arrival. Sgt. Flynn contacted the landowner who advised the subjects had permission to be on the property removing the items.

April 1, 9:31 a.m. – Ritzville complainant called and requested extra patrols in the area of North Batum Road for the next several days. The complainant stated they have some farming equipment parked there and are concerned by the activity in the area.

March 31, 7:06 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of subjects banging on the back door at a location on East 2nd Street. The complainant further stated when they approached the subjects who left the area on foot. Deputy Madison arrived and contacted the complainant who could not provide a description of the subjects. Dep. Madison checked the area and did not observe any damage.

March 31, 11:32 a.m. –

Washtucna complainant advised of a domestic situation on West May Avenue. Complainant stated they were assaulted by their spouse and have locked themselves in their car. Deputy Buriak responded and contacted the subjects involved. Justin Anthony Olson was arrested and booked into Adams County Jail for felony harassment domestic violence with threats to kill.
