A crucial free throw bucket by Sydney Nelson tied the game at 44 with about two minutes left in the game, but the Lady Broncos came up just short against the Lady Eagles, 52-48, last Friday.

After trailing for three quarters, the Lady Broncos outscored SJE 21-12 in the fourth.

The Lady Eagles took a late game lead on a fastbreak lay-in. The Lady Broncos couldn’t recover and were forced to foul in an effort to gain possession of the ball.

Dalyn Killian led the team scoring with 14 points. Jenna Bennett and Mallory Kessler each scored 10 points. Brooke Pichette contributed seven points. Haley Oestreich scored five and Nelson added two.

The team will host league opponent, St. George’s on Friday, Jan. 4, in the Gilson Gymnasium.
