On Thursday, Aug. 9, the Third Annual Grant County Farm Bureau in conjunction with other agricultural organizations from across Washington, such as Cattle Producers of Washington (CPoW) teamed up to bring first year medical students from Pacific Northwest University (PNWU) to farms and ranches.
The goal of the tour is to make sure students know where their food comes from and have the opportunity to interact directly with farmers and ranchers.
Cattle Producers of Washington, represented by L.D. and Gwen Green, Wade and Teresa King, and Emmett Soden grilled “Product of USA” rib steaks sponsored by CPoW and Grant County Farm Bureau for approximately 90 people. Dinner was served at the Frenchman Hills picnic area near Royal City.
