Float captures first award at Lilac parade

PARADE FLOAT. The Distinguished Young Women of Ritzville royalty unveiled their parade float for the 2012-2013 parade season in Ritzville last Thursday. The 2012 “Girls ‘n Pearls” float made their first parade this past Saturday in Spokane for the Lilac Parade. It was a long day filled with lots of laughter, fun, waiting patiently and meeting new people.

The day started with John and Jan Marshall, and Aaron Esser hauling the float up to Spokane at 5 a.m. and then after hearing the other floats sound systems they decided ours wasn’t good enough so they called “Car Toys” and had a new sound system/speakers installed on the float and boy was it good and loud! Thank you festivals for that!
