    Over 600 4-H and FFA members will converge on the Spokane County Interstate Fairgrounds May 1-5, for the 78th annual Spokane Junior Livestock Show. Several area youth will be exhibiting their market livestock beef, swine, sheep and goats in the show, which aims to promote agriculture education.     The Washtucna School District is offering a free screening clinic on May 14 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at Washtucna School. The screening is for children ages newborn to five years old. Developmental areas screened include vision, hearing, motor, cognitive, speech and language skills. Results provide parents with a report of their child’s educational development.     According to the Wheat Land Communities’ Fair (WLCF) treasurer, Aaron Esser, the annual Wampum event raised around $13,000 to benefit the local fair, the largest amount recorded in recent history.     Fire and emergency medical personnel responded to a single vehicle rollover on U.S. 395 at milepost 95 on Sunday afternoon. They worked quickly to rescue two patients. One was pinned in the vehicle. Firefighters cut the roof off the car to gain access to the victim. Both were transported to East Adams Rural Hospital.
