    The first planning meeting for the 2014 Ritzville Relay For Life is Jan. 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the Best Western Plus Bronco Inn conference room. The meeting is open to any individual interested in participating in Relay For Life. The former committee plans to discuss plans of modifying the annual event into a 12-hour, weekend activity instead of an overnight event.     The Lind Fire Department and Washtucna EMS responded to a one-vehicle rollover on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 5:33 a.m. on U.S. 395 at milepost 69. The accident site was 26 miles south of Ritzville and two miles from the Hatton Rest Area. There were four passengers in the 2004 Chevrolet K2 pickup. The 41-year-old male driver, Jeremy Hall, was pronounced dead at the scene. During the program, pages assist senators with legislative duties such as mail delivery, running errands, and presenting the flags at the start of a daily session in the Senate chamber.     After discussing and making slight adjustments to the 2014 budget, the Lind Town Council unanimously approved the budget during the final council meeting in the month of December. The council also approved to amend the 2013 budget during the Dec. 23 meeting. The one amendment from the 2013 budget included a $212,000 amendment to the town’s water fund.
