No surprises in local election filings
The roster of candidates seeking public office is a lengthy list in statewide races while the list of candidates in the courthouse includes familiar faces.
A total of nine positions in the county courthouse are on the 2010 General Election, all of which are incumbents:
David Anderson, assessor; Nancy McBrom, auditor; Susan K. Kirkendall, clerk; Jeff Stevens, county commissioner District 3; Randy J. Flyckt, prosecutor; Doug Barger, sheriff; Laura Danekas, treasurer; Gary J. Brueher, Othello District Court judge; Adalia A. Hille, Ritzville District Court judge.
Precinct Committee Officers filing are:
Precinct 111 – Terry Grimmesey Janzen, democratic; Nancy McBroom, republican
Precinct 113 – Randy J. Flyckt, republican
Precinct 114 – Laura Danekas, republican
Precinct 122 – Eric Walker, democratic; Krista Faure, republican
Precinct 321 – Rudy Plager, republican
Precinct 412 – Jim Carlton, democratic
Precinct 413 – Doug Barger, republican
Precinct 415 – Kenneth E. Caylor, democratic; Jeff Stevens, republican
Precinct 513 – Roger L. Hartwig, republican
At the state level, incumbent Patty Murray faces numerous opponents in the U.S. Senate as will Doc Hastings for U.S. Representative Congressional District 4 and Cathy McMorris Rodgers in Congressional District 5.
Susan Fagan will run unopposed for her seat as a representative of District 9. Glen Stockwell has filed against Rep. Joe Schmick, incumbent, for Position 2.
