Scott Thomas Simmons

Scott Thomas Simmons, age 50, died April 26, 2010, at Lind.

The son of Thomas and Nancy (Petersen) Simmons, he was born Jan. 14, 1960, in Yakima. He moved his family from Seattle to Lind five years ago. He worked for Simplot potato processing.

It has been said he loved his family, job, wife, children and the 360 degree view of God’s country from the farm.  He lived life by his own terms and no one told him how to live it.  He enjoyed four wheeling and shooting BB guns with his sons.  He was a true Nascar fan to the end.

Surviving is his wife, Kathryn Simmons of Lind; sons, Cameron and Sean Simmons of Moses Lake; daughters, BreAnn Miller and Jena Simmons of Billings, Mont., Samantha Simmons, Whetanay Stubbs and Shawnay Stubbs of Lind and Tyskanay Schofield of Alaska; a brother, Jeff Simmons of Covington, Wash.; sisters, Dena Huddelson of Lake Tapps, Wash., and Robin Powell of Bonney Lake, Wash.; and four grandchildren, Hannah and Shannah Miller and Makenna and Mayson Simmons.

A wake was held May 1, 2010, at the family home in Lind.
