Scott Thomas
Simmons, age 50, died April 26, 2010, at Lind.
The son of
Thomas and Nancy (Petersen) Simmons, he was born Jan. 14, 1960,
in Yakima. He moved his family from Seattle to Lind five years
ago. He worked for Simplot potato processing.
It has been
said he loved his family, job, wife, children and the 360 degree
view of God’s country from the farm. He lived life by his own
terms and no one told him how to live it. He enjoyed four
wheeling and shooting BB guns with his sons. He was a true
Nascar fan to the end.
Surviving is
his wife, Kathryn Simmons of Lind; sons, Cameron and Sean
Simmons of Moses Lake; daughters, BreAnn Miller and Jena Simmons
of Billings, Mont., Samantha Simmons, Whetanay Stubbs and
Shawnay Stubbs of Lind and Tyskanay Schofield of Alaska; a
brother, Jeff Simmons of Covington, Wash.; sisters, Dena
Huddelson of Lake Tapps, Wash., and Robin Powell of Bonney Lake,
Wash.; and four grandchildren, Hannah and Shannah Miller and
Makenna and Mayson Simmons.
A wake was
held May 1, 2010, at the family home in Lind. |
