Shane Clark
Sullivan died on Friday, March 19, 2010, on his way home to
Bellevue when his plane experienced engine failure, forcing it
to go down.
He was born
in Colfax on Nov. 30, 1970, to Clark and Carol Link Sullivan of
Washtucna. He attended Washtucna High School and graduated from
Washington State University in 1994. He began his insurance
career right out of college at A. J. Gallagher in Bellevue.
In July 2000
he married Heather Blewitt of Boulder, Colo., and the couple
made their home in Bellevue. He also started his own insurance
company, Cascade Risk Placement, in 2000. He took a three-man
shop to 28 employees with two offices in 10 years.
He enjoyed
spending time with his family and friends (especially being a
husband and father to his “three girls”), working and growing
his business, traveling and flying his plane.
He is
survived by his wife, Heather, and two children, Madeline and
Holly, Bellevue; parents, Clark and Carol Link Sullivan,
Washtucna; sisters, Sharon (Joe) McKeirnan and Evon (Mike) Jones
of LaCrosse, and Debra (Rick) Kelley of Snohomish; six nephews,
Keith, Bo, Blake, Ethan, Austin and Jack; and numerous aunts,
uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of
flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Shane Sullivan
Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 692, Washtucna, WA 99371. |
