Robert Greenwalt

 

Robert A. Greenwalt, age 68, died on April 18, 2010, in Odessa.

 

He was born on July 20, 1941, in Ritzville to Jacob Jr. and Lydia (Kulm) Greenwalt. He grew up in Odessa, graduating from Odessa High School in 1960 and then attending diesel mechanic school in Spokane.

 

He married Jacqueline Finney in Odessa on Aug. 31, 1963. He was a member of the Zion Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

 

It is said he loved farming and going to his shop, making and smoking homemade sausage, fishing and hunting as well as visiting with his friends and spending time with his family and grandkids.

 

He is survived by his wife, Jackie, at the home; his children: Gerald Greenwalt and Barbara of Seattle, Steven Greenwalt and Amy, and Sandi Smith and Gerald (Seth) all of Odessa; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four brothers: Walter Greenwalt and Darlene of Lynwood, Wash., David Greenwalt and Leota of Odessa, Leo Greenwalt and Jackie of Moscow, Idaho, and Marvin Greenwalt and Vicki of Moses Lake, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Melvin.

 

Funeral services will be held Thursday (today), April 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Zion-Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Odessa with Pastor Barry Warpness officiating.

 

Concluding services and vault interment will follow at the Odessa Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or to the Odessa Ambulance.
