Shannon Weaver
Walter
Shannon “Flash” Weaver died March 15, 2010, at his home in
Spokane.
He was born
to Walter McDonald Weaver and Josephine (Ferguson) Weaver in
Bellevue in 1959. He attended elementary school in Warden and
high school in Lind. He graduated from Spokane Falls Community
College with an AA degree and later attended Eastern Washington
University where he studied environmental sciences.
He worked
for Franz Farms Ltd. in Lind for a short time before taking a
position at Hanford monitoring weather stations. He also worked
for a nursery near Moses Lake and drove truck for Swift for a
number of years.
It has been
said no matter how busy he was, he always had time to look after
his father in his later years. His love of the outdoors,
especially waterfowl hunting, kept him busy through the years.
He raised many chocolate labs that served him as hunting
partners.
In 2009, he
married the love of his life, Tina, and they were just beginning
their new lives together.
On Saturday,
April 10, at 11 a.m., an informal gathering of family and
friends is planned at 805 Edgewater in Moses Lake. For details,
call his brother Reid at 425-308-2681.
