February 25, 2010 No new roof for Ritzville Grade School
The Ritzville School Board reviewed a quote for installation of a new soffit and fascia on the Ritzville Grade School roof during the regular meeting on Feb. 16. Cobra Building Envelope Contractors submitted the quote of $126,929.29 plus sales tax. Interim Superintendent Bill Thurston said the roof damage is external only and doesn’t affect the building’s infrastructure. “There’s no internal damage, so it’s really just looks,” Thurston said. “When you get inside and look at the framing there’s no water stains.” The district will continue to patch and repair the roof as needed since there’s no money to do the project, Thurston explained. |
