Ritzville School Board position remains vacant

Interim Superintendent Dr. Bill Thurston informed the board Tuesday night that four individuals had picked up applications for the Director District 1 position, which was vacated in December 2009.

The school district will continue to accept completed applications until 4 p.m. on March 12.

The board tentatively plans to review the applications in executive session at the next board meeting on March 15.

Anyone interested in filling the vacancy needs to contact Thurston at the district office, 659-1660. Individuals must be registered voters residing in Director District 1 to fill the position.
