Spokane groups issue open

invite to flag retirement ceremony

One and all are invited to leave any American flag that is due for retirement at the Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce office on Main Avenue for a retirement ceremony on President’s Day, Feb. 15.

The Sons of the American Revolution, the Inland Northwest Chapter of the American Red Cross and Fairmount Memorial Association will hold a Solemn American Flag Retirement Ceremony at the Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, Spokane.

Stan Wills, Washington State Society of Sons of the American Revolution president, will pick up any flags at the chamber office for inclusion in the retirement ceremony, set for 1 p.m. at The Rugged Cross of Inspiration, Top Terrace, Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, 211 North Government Way, Spokane WA 99224.
