January 28, 2010 Lind Gun Club to offer hunter education
Registrations are being sought for a Hunter Education Course covering firearm safety, sportsmanship and ethics and conservation. The course is set for Feb. 9, 10, 15, 17 and 18 (classroom) at the Lind Gun Club. Range day and field course is Feb. 20. Classes will run from 5-8 p.m. each evening and starting at 9 a.m. on range day. Anyone born after Jan. 1, 1972, is required to complete the course before purchasing a hunting license. Students are required to attend all classes as well as range day and field course. A parent or guardian must attend class with students under 12 years of age and all classes must be attended unless arrangement is previously requested. To register for the class, contact LeRoy Watson, Jr., at 677-3536. There is no charge for the course due to a donation from Pheasants Forever No. 634. The course has a 30-student limit and pre-registration is requested. If the class is full, walk-ins will be turned away. |
