Ritzville resident embarks on literary career

A new book penned by a Ritzville area resident will join the ranks of published science fiction tomes this weekend through PublishAmerica.

Tom Brooks, writing as T.E. Brooks, has launched his writing career with publication of his first novel, “Unicorn Sales and Service,” set for release on Saturday, Dec. 26.

The softcover, 185-page book has a cover price of $24.95 and is listed at $19.95 by PublishAmerica.

According to the book’s synopsis, “Two ancient and nameless wizards discover that the creature drinking their mead is a unicorn, and not just any unicorn, but the king of the herd.

“Everything they know about unicorns tells them that unicorns would not dare soil themselves with intoxicants or even come near the two wizards.

“Knowing things must be set straight, the two agree to help the king free the herd from a spell and find themselves in a life and death struggle with their oldest enemy.”
