Local law enforcement attends memorial

A contingent of law enforcement officers from Adams County traveled over the mountains to attend a memorial service on last week at the Tacoma Dome for four Lakewood police officers killed on Nov. 29.

Three Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies and one corrections officer attended, as did three officers from the Othello Police Department.

The Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team, including two members from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, were in attendance.

Although none of the troopers assigned to the Ritzville detachment of the Washington State Patrol attended, all were offered the opportunity.

Due to a pre-planned training schedule, no officers from the Ritzville Police Department were able to attend.
