Harold W. Oster

Harold W. Oster, age 85, died in Spokane on the evening of Nov. 3, 2009.

He was born March 2, 1924, in Ruff, Wash., and was a WWII veteran. He was a master baker, and was well known in the northwest region as one of the top salesmen for Electrolux.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Velda Oster; his daughters, Kathleen (Gary) Waterhouse, Beverly Armstrong, Connie (Richard) Luna, Bonnie (Scott) Rehn and Marianne (Fred) Levine; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and his sisters, Violet Nerheim in Oregon, Joyce Andres and Betty Helmer.

Preceding him in death are sisters, Pauline Walter, Esther Wolsborn, Eleanor Gasaway and Evelyn Bass; brothers John and Christian, and his son-in-law, Raymond Armstrong.

Memorial services will be held at the Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, today (Thursday), Nov. 12, 2009, at 4 p.m.

Flowers may be sent to the funeral home, or, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lilac Blind Foundation or the Spokane Humane Society.
