November 12, 2009 Harold W. Oster
Harold W. Oster, age 85, died in Spokane on the evening of Nov. 3, 2009. He was born March 2, 1924, in Ruff, Wash., and was a WWII veteran. He was a master baker, and was well known in the northwest region as one of the top salesmen for Electrolux. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Velda Oster; his daughters, Kathleen (Gary) Waterhouse, Beverly Armstrong, Connie (Richard) Luna, Bonnie (Scott) Rehn and Marianne (Fred) Levine; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and his sisters, Violet Nerheim in Oregon, Joyce Andres and Betty Helmer. Preceding him in death are sisters, Pauline Walter, Esther Wolsborn, Eleanor Gasaway and Evelyn Bass; brothers John and Christian, and his son-in-law, Raymond Armstrong. Memorial services will be held at the Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, today (Thursday), Nov. 12, 2009, at 4 p.m. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home, or, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lilac Blind Foundation or the Spokane Humane Society. |
