Remember to cast your vote by August 18

Voters in legislative District 9 are faced with a choice in the race for a seat in the House during the 2009 Primary Election. Four Republicans and one Democrat will appear on the ballot.

Locally, residents in the town of Lind will choose two of the four candidates in the race for mayor and voters within the boundaries of Adams County Park and Recreation District No. 4 will vote on an $85,000 maintenance and operation levy.

The primary election is Aug. 18, and the general election is Nov. 3. More information is available by contacting the Adams County Auditor’s Office at 659-3249.

Candidates included in the primary election are:

Town of Lind mayor – Larry L. Koch, Jamie Schmunk, Annette Kaye Casady and Gary R. deMoss, Sr.

State Representative Pos. 1 – Susan Fagan, Pat Hailey, Art Swannack and Darin Watkins represent the Republican Party while Glen Stockwell is on the Democratic ticket.
