John McGregor to lead Lind School District

Lind School Board directors met in executive session last Thursday to enter into contract negotiations for the superintendent/elementary principal position.

After ending the executive session, the board unanimously agreed to sign a one-year contract with John McGregor.

McGregor has accepted the position of half-time superintendent and half-time elementary principal for a total salary and benefits of $85,000.

The board had offered the position to Edwina Hargrave on April 22 after two days of interviewing and an executive session.

“We just couldn’t come to agreement on the terms of the contract,” said board chair Bev Kulm. The board entered contract negotiations with Hargrave on April 25.

The Lind School District is now accepting applications for a junior high/high school principal position for grades 7-12.
