Fixed. Yellow tape and barricades prevent traffic on newly poured cement at the Adams County Historical Society building last Friday afternoon. The town removed that portion of the sidewalk last week to prevent rainwater from entering the building.
LIND – Town crews spent last week repairing drainage issues around the building owned by the Adams County Historical Society at the corner of I Street and State Route 21. Concrete was removed in front of the walk-in door on I Street last Tuesday. Concrete was poured on Friday to keep water from going into the building while maintaining handicap access. The new concrete was sloped more to prevent water from entering the building. The historical society approached the council in February about water puddling and running into the building after the sidewalk was replaced during the SR 21 project. Mayor Larry Koch and Councilwoman Amy Wills attended the historical society meeting on April 10 to present information and a possible resolution to the problem. The historical society penned a letter to the Town of Lind the following day, accepting the proposal. |
