Search warrant nets two for drugs

Ritzville Police served a search warrant at the Birchwood Apartments Saturday, arresting two people for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Police Chief David McCormick told Ritzville City Council members Tuesday that the case remains active and that “more arrests are just around the corner.”

According to the agency’s law incident report, police served the warrant at 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, in apartment No. 7 at the Birchwood Apartment complex in the 200 block of East Birch Avenue.

Shaynn R. Bartlett and Brett A. Tolley were arrested at the time of the warrant service. The pair was charged with being in possession of marijuana under 40 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
