April 10, 2008 Two-car wreck claims Coulee City woman
A Coulee City driver was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 90 on April 2 at about 4 p.m. after being struck broadside. Elizabeth M. Dearden, 67, of Coulee City, was heading westbound at milepost 230 when she pulled to the left shoulder near the median to turn the vehicle around. She backed into the other lane to attempt to enter the turn around and was struck by a 1997 Dodge van heading west that was driven by John W. Bradford, 68, of Missoula, Mont. Bradford and his passenger, Mark Bradford, were not injured. Dearden was driving a 1992 Chrysler New Yorker 4D. A juvenile female passenger was injured and transported by ambulance to East Adams Rural Hospital. Both vehicles were totaled. All occupants were wearing seat belts. Washington State Patrol Trooper Dean Burt handled the accident scene |
