Walkers, runners asked to follow

guidelines at fairgrounds

The Wheat Land Communities’ Fairgrounds is private property and within the city limits. The grounds are maintained by the board and/or the groundskeeper.

Area citizens are welcome to use the walking path, which cuts across the grounds, as long as they comply with Ritzville City Ordinances, including Chapter 5.20.

According to posters that will be posted at the fairgrounds that refer to that ordinance:

• Animals must be on a leash.

• Owner must immediately clean-up and properly dispose of animal feces.

• Owner is responsible for any damage or injury to person or property caused by animal in his/her care.

• Violators will be reported to authorities.
