Lower Lake Roosevelt (WRIA 54)

Watershed planning meeting

The Lower Lake Roosevelt Watershed Planning Unit will hold its monthly scheduled Watershed Planning Meeting this month on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Lincoln County Public Works Building at 27234 SR 25 N in Davenport.

Lincoln County formed a local watershed planning group comprised of varying water interests in order to participate in water resource planning activities and decision making within the watershed. The Lower Lake Roosevelt Watershed extends from the confluence of the Spokane and Columbia Rivers, downstream to Grand Coulee Dam and extends southerly to Davenport.

At this meeting, the Planning Unit will be finalizing the Operating and Voting Procedures for the group. These procedures will guide the planning effort throughout Phase 1, 2 and 3. It is important to get your input on how the Planning Unit will conduct its decision-making processes. All citizens, landowners, water purveyors or persons with a water resource interest are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
