March 13, 2008 Ritzville community blood drive slated Each and every day throughout the Inland Northwest, patients receive the gift of life from generous donors who take the time to give blood. Ritzville High School and INBC join together to host a community blood drive on Thursday, March 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school gym, 209 East Wellsandt Rd. This is your chance to give back to your community. The Inland Northwest Blood Center (INBC) needs 150-200 donors each day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in our region, including East Adams Rural Hospital. "For many of us, the critical need doesn't really hit home until it's one of our friends and family members laying there in that hospital bed needing blood," said INBC Public Relations/Market Specialist Julie Holland. "When someone takes an hour out of their day to give blood, they can save up to three lives with their simple donation. It's a gift from the heart that truly touches the hearts of others" Last year the community of Ritzville made a huge difference for hundreds of families in need. INBC collected 101 units of blood – saving up to 303 lives! We need your support to meet our goal of 50 donors at this blood drive. If you've never given blood before, now is your chance to see how simple it can be. Help save the lives of your friends, family and neighbors – give blood today!
