Easter, Holy Week services set at area churches

Congregations in Benge, Lind, Ritzville and Washtucna will celebrate Holy Week and Easter with special services at area churches. Information available as of press time:

Benge

Benge Community Church – Easter sunrise service with Trinity United Methodist Church at the Hill of the Three Crosses (Roy and Karin Clinesmith’s home) at 136 Mack Road at 7 a.m. with a continental breakfast.

Lind

The Lind Calvary Assembly of God Church is hosting a community Palm Sunday service for all churches in Lind at 11 a.m.

Good Hope Lutheran Church – Maundy Thursday 7 p.m.; Good Friday service 6 p.m.; Services of Resurrection, Easter Sunday, 11 a.m.

Lind Community Church – Easter sunrise service 6:30 a.m.; Easter Sunday worship service 10 a.m.

Lind Calvary Assembly of God Church – Easter service with puppet play and special music at 10:30 a.m.

Ritzville

The Ritzville Ministerial Association is sponsoring a Community Good Friday Service at Menno Mennonite Church at 7 p.m.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Sacrament service 10 a.m.; Sunday school 11 a.m.

Emanuel Lutheran Church – Palm Sunday service with communion 11 a.m.; Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m. communion service; Good Friday service 7 p.m.; Easter breakfast 9:30 a.m.; Easter worship service 11 a.m. with communion.

Menno Mennonite – Easter Sunrise service 8:30 a.m. at the church followed by Easter breakfast hosted by the youth; Easter worship service 10 a.m.

Ritzville Baptist Church – Easter morning breakfast 9:30 a.m., contact the church for location; Easter worship service 11 a.m.

Ritzville Foursquare Church – Easter morning brunch 10:15 a.m.; Easter worship service with communion 11 a.m.

Ritzville Nazarene Church – Easter sunrise service 7 a.m. at the home of Steve and Heidi Nygren. All are welcome to attend. Contact the church at 659-1749 for questions or directions; Easter Sunday Resurrection worship service 10:30 a.m. at the church; no Sunday school.

Seventh-day Adventist – Communion and foot washing during regular Sabbath worship at 11 a.m.

Trinity United Methodist Church – Maundy Thursday worship service 7 p.m.; Easter sunrise service with Benge Community Church in Benge 7 a.m.; Easter breakfast 8:45 a.m. at TUMC; Easter worship service 10:30 a.m.

Zion Philadelphia UCC – Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt 9 a.m.

Washtucna

Washtucna Community Church – Palm Sunday worship service including Parade of Palms 11 a.m. Good Friday service 7 p.m. with communion; Easter Sunrise service 7:30 a.m. at the church followed by an Easter breakfast at 8 a.m. for friends and members of the church; Sunday school 9:45 a.m.; Easter Sunday worship service 11 a.m.
