Davenport incident under investigation

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that occurred Tuesday during a Lind-Ritzville versus Davenport basketball game in Davenport.

During the fourth quarter of the boys’ varsity game, a Davenport basketball player reportedly left the court and allegedly assaulted a Ritzville High School student fan after the fans had been taunting the players.

The sheriff’s office has reportedly gathered up video footage taken during the game and is reviewing it for evidence.

Accurate details of the incident were not available at press time. The incident involved a Ritzville High School senior, 18-year-old Mike Osborn, and an unidentified Davenport player.

Osborn is the son of Stephen and Tracy McFadden of Ritzville, the publishers of The Ritzville Adams County Journal.
